Recreation

My recreational activities mostly happened on an irregular basis, in principle with family/children and/or friends:

• kids: watching my youngest son's football matches and oldest's son's judo tournaments
• restaurants: usually in the neighborhood, but now and then surely returning to Mexican restaurant 'Gringo's Cantina' in Antwerp, for their incredibly tasty quesadillas and 'bathtub' drinks. Just show up very timely, because it's not possible to make upfront reservations ...
• vacation: basically anywhere, sometimes going back to Torrevieja (Spain), but no more alpine skiing (despite having frequented many different European ski areas, mostly via organized ski group travel)

Sporadic activities:

• bowling: mostly at Wima Bowling (Schelle)
• animal parks: mostly heading to Planckendael or to the Antwerp Zoo, although I personally prefer Pairi Daiza
• swimming: preferably in a subtropical setting, like Aqualibi or Aqua Mundo
• private sauna: strong preference for Aquatis
• paintball, darts, snooker, ...
