Chess must have been my first love (at young age), but I lost interest after about 10 years of Humbeekse Schaakclub competitive play, currently 30+ years ago. I was also able to perform blind chess (on several occasions between 1982 and 1990). I only once performed simultaneous chess (against 6 players in 1990, if I remember correctly) because that gave me a splitting headache ...
More recently, I completed multiple Steps Method Teaching assignments/initiatives.
For beginners self-study, I would recommend the 'Lekker Schaken' Books.
Out of curiosity, I sometimes consult ChessBase to know what's going on in today's world of chess.
